1. Having taken into consideration that there has been a wrongful deduction from the retiral benefits payable to the writ petitioner with regard to his contributory provident fund, we direct the respondent authorities to refund a sum of Rs.56,499/- wrongfully deducted from the retiral benefits of the appellant, within two weeks from date.

2. The appeal succeeds. The appeal and the connected application are accordingly, disposed of.

3. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
