The father of the petitioner was an Assistant Teacher of a Government Aided School who died-in-harness on March 06, 2015.

The petitioner applied for compassionate appointment within time but his such prayer has been turned down by the Deputy Director of School Education (G.A), Government of West Bengal, the respondent no. 3 herein, vide Memo No. 1108-GA\ dated August 24, 2016 4G/106/98 on the ground that the family income of the deceased employee exceeds the monthly salary of Group-D staff of a State Government employee.

This Court does not find any irregularity and/or infirmity in the said order of rejection warranting interference.

WPA 6127 2021 is therefore dismissed without any order as to costs.
