The petitioner objects to the grant of benefit under the PMAY Scheme in favour of the private respondents.

Objection filed before the District Magistrate, Purba Medinipur is pending consideration till date. Without entering into the merit of the claim of the petitioner, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the District Magistrate, Purba Medinipur to take a decision on the complaint lodged by the petitioner in accordance with the relevant rules and guidelines after giving a reasonable opportunity of hearing to all the necessary parties including the private respondents and the representative of the Municipality at the earliest, but positively within a

period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioner immediately thereafter. The writ petition stands disposed of.

Instruction provided by the Howrah Municipal Corporation is taken on record.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
