The petitioner claims that she has not been paid salary as Anganwadi worker since 2017.

Mr. Susanta Pal, learned counsel appearing for the State submits that the ICDS Center was shifted from Banipur-I, 79, Lebu Bagan, Howrah to Bandhan Club, Part No. 159 in 2017. The petitioner did not join the newly transferred center.

In these circumstances, the question of any payment to the petitioner does not and cannot arise. The petitioner's claim for the period that she has not worked is utterly baseless.

The petitioner must be deemed to have abandoned service.

The writ petition is therefore devoid any merit and hereby dismissed.

There shall be no order as to costs.
