Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail. We have considered the materials on record. There are specific allegations levelled against the petitioner. Petitioner assaulted the victim who ultimately died.

In view of the gravity of offence and the prima facie involvement of the petitioner therein, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, prayer for bail is rejected.
