No. 29 KAUSHIK REJECTED C.R.M.(A) 1010 of 2023 In Re:- An application for anticipatory bail under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Raiganj Women Police Station Case No. 26 of 2023 dated 15.02.2023 under Sections 498(A)/323/307/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1973 read with Sections 3/ 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.

And In Re : Joydip alias Joydeep Ghosh ...... petitioner Mr. Kushal Paul Ms. Soma Chowdhury (Bardhan) ....for the petitioner Ms. Anyasha Das ....for the de-facto complainant Mr. Pravash Bhattacharya Mr. M.F.A. Begg ....for the State Police complaint was lodged within two years of marriage. The petitioner before us is the husband.

There are materials in the case diary implicating the petitioner in the offences alleged.

In such circumstances, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 1010 of 2023 is dismissed.
