A direction to secure expeditious disposal of a Misc. Case No. 709 of 2018 of learned Additional District Judge, 9th Court, Alipore praying for alimony pendente lite, is the ultimate relief, sought for in this case.

Surprisingly, the husband has approached this Court, soliciting a direction to ensure expeditious disposal of a prayer for alimony pendente lite, instituted by the wife against the husband.

Mr. Avishek Sarkar, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner/husband submits that the prayer for alimony pendente lite needs to be disposed of in an expeditious manner, so as to prevent the wife from being destituted, as the wife has no means to support herself from her own resource.

In view of the nature of the order proposed to be made in this case, learned Additional District Judge, 9th Court, Alipore is requested to ensure expeditious disposal of misc Case No. 709 of 2018 expeditiously

as possible, but without granting unnecessary adjournments, unless it is extremely unavoidable. While endeavouring such exercise, this Court reposes trust and confidence upon the learned Court below that the Court below would proceed to dispose of the prayer for alimony pendente lite in a best possible manner, as the situation would demand, so that the fruits of the Misc case may be easily made available to the opposite party/wife.

Learned advocate for the petitioner is directed to cooperate with the learned Court below so that the prayer for alimony pendente lite may be disposed of within the best possible opportunity.

With this observation and direction, the revisional application stands disposed of.
