No. 29 KAUSHIK REJECTED C.R.M.(A) 1019 of 2023 In Re:- An application for anticipatory bail under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Kotwali Police Station Case No. 1129 of 2022 dated 30.10.2022 under Sections 498A/326A/307/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860.

And In Re : Smt. Sutapa Chowdhury @ Sutapa Choudhary ...... petitioner Mr. Tapash Kumar Bhattacharya Mr. Aviroop Bhattacharya ....for the petitioner Mr. S. G. Mukherjee, learned Public Prosecutor Mr. Aniket Mitra ....for the State Petitioner is named as the person, who was involved in the acid attack on the victim.

The claim of acid attack was corroborated by two persons as also the medical report of the victim.

In such circumstances, considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 1019 of 2023 is dismissed.
