The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher of subject Physics at Sree Krishnanagar Sree Krishna Vidya Mandir, District : Hooghly, he applied for general transfer through 'Utshasree Portal' on the ground that the distance between his residence and the school is more than 190 kilometres. The West Bengal Central School Service Commission has rejected the said application on the ground that the petitioner is the single teacher of the subject in the said school.

Mr. Ray, learned Counsel for the petitioner strenuously argues that the ground of rejection is not sustainable.

Be that as it may, the 'Utsashree Portal' is now under suspension, therefore the prayer of the petitioner for general transfer cannot be considered at this stage. WPA 5162 of 2022 is therefore dismissed without any order as to costs.
