Mr. Hamidur Rahaman ....for the petitioner Mr. Susanta Pal Ms. Ananya Neogi ....for the State Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

Despite service, no one appears on behalf of the private respondent.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner has come up with illegal construction on public land in front of the petitioner's property. This is obstructing the ingress and egress to the petitioner's property and causing irreparable harm and damage. On 09.02.2025 a representation was made by the petitioner in this regard before the concerned authorities for taking action under the West Bengal Public Land (Eviction of Unauthorized Occupants) Act, 1962. But, the same has not been considered.

Learned counsel for the State submits that in the event representation is pending consideration, the same will be considered in accordance with law. In view of the above, let the Sub-Divisional Officer, Tehatta, Nadia consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.02.2025 in accordance with law and upon hearing all the interested parties as expeditiously as possible, preferably within eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. It is clarified that the merits of the case have not been gone into.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
