The application for bail is taken up for hearing. It is fairly submitted by the Learned Advocate for the petitioner that this Court rejected the prayer for bail on 9th March, 2022. There is no change in circumstances except the period of incarceration in judicial custody by the petitioner. The petitioner is in custody for about 34 days. It is submitted by the Learned Public Prosecutor-in-Charge that the prayer for anticipatory bail of the wife of the petitioner was also rejected by the Division Bench of this Court. The case involves criminal misappropriation and cheating of huge amount of money amounting to Rs.41,00,000/-. Considering such gravity of offence, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail at this stage. Prayer is considered and rejected. (Bibek Chaudhuri, J.)
