The order dated 17th June, 2022 being the order under contempt was carried on in an appeal by the State. In the order under contempt, the State was directed to pay interest @ 6% per annum from the date following the date of the concerned petitioner's retirement till the actual date of payment within a period of four months from the date of the said order, failing which the interest will increase to 9% per

annum. In appeal, interest rare has been modified to be 8% flat for the entire period. The State has complied with the direction for payment of interest as passed in the appeal, which is also admitted by the petitioner. Nothing further remains to be adjudicated in this contempt application. The contempt proceeding is dropped. The contempt application is disposed of without further order but recording compliance of the order under contempt as modified in appeal.
