The petitioner is aggrieved by the work carried out West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (in short, WBSEDCL), the licensee. The petitioner alleges that domestic electricity connection to the respondent nos. 8, 9 and 10 have been given by the WBSEDCL, pursuant to an order passed by this Court by drawing the line.

The petitioner's relief lies under the provisions of West Bengal Works Licensees Rules, 2006.

The petitioner has made a representation before the District Magistrate, 24-Parganas, which appears to have been received by the office of the District Magistrate, South 24-Parganas on 1st November, 2019.

It is unfortunate that a

representation made more than a year back has not been heard even for once.

The District Magistrate, South 24Parganas, being the respondent no.2, is directed to dispose of the petitioner's representation received by his office on 1st November, 2019, appearing at page 38 of the writ petition, by a reasoned order within a period of six weeks from date after affording a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the parties. The decision so taken shall be communicated to the parties within ten days therefrom.

Nothing further remains to be adjudicated in this writ petition and the same is accordingly disposed of without any order as to costs.

Since I have not called for any affidavits, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed to have not been admitted by the respondents.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, is to be given to the parties upon usual undertakings.
