The grievance of the writ petitioner is that the original application filed by the writ petitioner before the West Bengal Land Reforms and Tenancy Tribunal is pending since 2023. It is submitted by learned counsel for the writ petitioner that on March 24, 2026, which was the
last date fixed by the Tribunal, the matter was adjourned till August 06, 2026. From the orders passed in the original application, we find that the matter is being protracted indefinitely. Keeping in view the age of the matter before the Tribunal, we are of the opinion that the same should be disposed of expeditiously. 3.
Accordingly, WPLRT 45 of 2026 is disposed of by requesting the Third Bench, West Bengal Land Reforms and Tenancy Tribunal to dispose of OA 2197 of 2023 (LRTT), pending before it, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within six months from the date of communication of this order to the learned Tribunal, if necessary by shifting back the next date fixed by the Tribunal to an earlier date. 4.
For the purpose of compliance, the learned Tribunal as well as the parties shall act on the server copy of this judgment, without insisting unnecessarily upon prior production of a certified copy thereof. 5.
There will be no order as to costs.
