The petitioner is a senior citizen widow and is suffering from cancer. She ekes out of living by working as a house maid.

She complains that her son and daughter-inlaw are torturing on her. The police have intervened on several occasions but to no avail. 3.
Counsel for the son and daughter-in-law submits that they shall vacate the premises standing in the name of the mother and where the mother is staying presently within one month from date.

Since the private respondents have not been paying any maintenance to the mother, they
undertake to pay a sum of Rs. 12,000/- to the petitioner within a period of ten days.

The officer-in-charge of the Bhadreswar Police Station shall ensure compliance of both the order and payment of 12,000/- and the undertaking to vacate the house within one month. Police shall be entitled to take coercive action against the private respondent in respect of non-compliance or any further complaint from the petitioner.

The report of the Bhadreswar P.S. dated 01.04.2023 is taken on record.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
