1. The status report in connection with the present petition filed in Court is taken on record.

2. The Investigating Officer has filed a report wherefrom it appears that the wife of the present petitioner is presently in Bangladesh with her paramour. She left her matrimonial home voluntarily and she is in touch with her parents. All relevant details in this regard have been disclosed in the report filed by the Inspector of Police, O/C AHTU, CID, West Bengal.

3. A copy of the status report is shared with the learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner.

4. We dispose of this petition in terms of the status report filed in Court today. The police authorities, however, shall take appropriate steps in accordance with law based on the result of the investigation and, if required, extradition of the wife of the petitioner in accordance with law. 5.

The learned Counsel for the petitioner for the State has submitted that appropriate steps shall be taken for

extradition of the wife of the petitioner.
