The father of the petitioner was an Assistant Teacher of a primary school under the Purba Medinipur District Primary School Council who, on attaining the age of superannuation, had retired from his service on February 29, 1996 and had died on July 01, 2021.

The petitioner being the handicapped son of the deceased teacher is praying family pension. A representation of the petitioner to the said effect is pending consideration before the District Inspector of Schools (Primary Education), the respondent no.4 herein.

The respondent no.4 is directed to consider the said representation of the petitioner in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

W.P.A. 5488 of 2025 is disposed of with the above terms and observations without any order as to costs.

Since no affidavit has been invited, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
