Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since December, 2024 and till date there is hardly any progress of the trial warranting further detention of the present petitioner.

Learned advocate for the minor victim appears and submits that the minor was subjected to and victimised in the offence committed by the present petitioner and others. 3.
Learned advocate for the State submits that there are overwhelming materials implicating the petitioner in the alleged offence.

I have taken into account the materials appearing in the case diary, the complicity of the present petitioner and overall assessment of the factual circumstances of the case,
which is not only related to POCSO Act but also Immoral Trafficking (Prevention) Act, as such I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail.

State is directed to expedite the process of trial by ensuring the presence of the witnesses on the date fixed by the learned trial court.

At this stage, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

Accordingly, CRM (M) 642 of 2026 is dismissed. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
