The petitioner has assailed the order dated 9th October, 2023 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Fast Track, 1st Court, Hooghly in Sessions case no.59 of 2022 directing issuance of warrant of arrest against him.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

It appears that the petitioner was granted bail in connection with the present case on 17th April, 2015 but remained in custody in connection with other cases against him. The petitioner was finally released from custody in connection with all the cases on 17th May, 2023. The petitioner sought adjournments before the learned trial Court on dates fixed for consideration of charge and warrant of arrest was issued against him vide order passed on 9th October, 2023. The petitioner undertakes to surrender before the learned trial Court within seven days from date. If the petitioner surrenders before the learned trial Court within seven days from date, he shall be allowed to remain on the same bond. In the event the petitioner fails to surrender before the learned trial Court within the stipulated time frame, the learned trial Court shall be at liberty to take necessary steps against the petitioner in accordance with law without further reference to this Court.

Warrant of arrest issued against the petitioner vide order dated 9th October, 2023 be stayed till 26th March, 2025. CRR 1102 of 2025 is disposed of.
