Petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction of the police authorities inspite of receipt of the information furnished to the concerned police station.

Learned advocate for the State have submitted two reports, one by Inspector-in-Charge, Baguiati Police Station and another by Officer-in-Charge, Karaya Police Station. The Inspector-in-Charge, Baguiati police station has submitted his report that in respect of the communications made by the petitioner a case has already been registered being Karaya Police Station case no.

63/25 dated 09.03.2025 under the relevant provisions of the IPC/BNS. The Officer-in-Charge, Karaya police station has also submitted a report acknowledging that investigation of Karaya police case no. 63/25 is in progress.

Having considered that steps are being taken by the investigating agency at this stage there is no scope for further interference except directing the police authorities to effectively conduct the investigation and take the investigation to its logical conclusion.

In view of the aforesaid further pendency of the writ petition is unwarranted.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 5562 of 2025 is disposed of.

Report so submitted by the State be kept with the record.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
