1. None appears on behalf of the petitioners on call. No accommodation is sought for.

2. The instant writ petition has been filed by the writ petitioners seeking direction upon the respondent Municipal Authorities to forthwith absorb the petitioners in the existing vacant posts of Helper (Trained Category) in the Kolkata Municipal Corporation.

3. Considering the nature of prayer and long pendency of this case as well as the conduct of the petitioners, this court finds that the petitioners are no more interested in pursuing the instant writ petition on the ground that either the purpose of filing the writ petition has been resolved or the petitioners have abandoned their prayer.

4. In view of the above facts, the instant writ petition being WPA 4045 of 2010 is dismissed without any order as to costs.

5. Consequently, the connected application, if any, is also, thus, disposed of.

6. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.

7. All parties shall act in terms of the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

8. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties taking all legal formalities.
