West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited in its report suggests that the petitioner has not made any application for the connection.

The petitioner, however, denies such allegation. By referring to page 24 of the writ petition, the petitioner submits that he has made an application in the prescribed format.

In view of the aforesaid disputes, there is no justification to keep this writ petition pending. Accordingly, I permit the petitioner to make a fresh application for domestic connection within a period of seven days from date.

If such application is made, the same shall be processed in accordance with law.

Accordingly, WPA 5540 of 2025 is disposed of. Urgent certified website copies of this order, if

applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
