1. In view of the prayer of the writ petitioners seeking a direction upon the Commissioner of School Education, West Bengal to consider and dispose of his application dated November 5, 2015, the Court is inclined to dispose of the writ petition.

2. The facts in brief be noted here that, the petitioners after retirement were engaged as the "guest teachers" in the respondent school, till September 30, 2013. During that time they were governed as per the ROPA, 1998.

3. The remuneration to be allowed to the petitioners is subject to revision as per ROPA, 2009. Allegedly the revision of pay as above to the writ petitioners

in their capacity as the "guest teachers" has not been allowed by the respondent authorities to the writ petitioners. Hence, the representation has been submitted by them before the respective authority seeking appropriate relief.

4. It is directed that the Commissioner of School Education, Government of West Bengal/respondent No.2 shall immediately consider and dispose of the petitioners' application dated November 5, 2019, after granting them an opportunity of hearing and by delivering a reasoned order if not the prayer of the petitioners is allowed. He shall conclude the above exercise within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

5. With the above observations and directions, the writ petition being WPA 4460 of 2020 stands disposed of.

6. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
