Case No. 110 of 2022 dated 20.3.2022 pending before the ld. Addl. Dist. &Sessions Judge, Ghatal, Paschim Medinipur as well as the ld. Special Court under the POCSO Act. A report has been submitted on behalf of the State. The report reflects that next date has been fixed on 13.6.2024 for examination of defacto-complainant and, accordingly, summons have been issued by the ld. Special Court.
The records also reflect that charge has already been framed in the instant case and the present report has been prepared by the officer in charge of Daspur P.S. with the assistance of the ld. Public Prosecutor of the Case. Accordingly, I direct that ld. Special Court, POCSO, on and from 13.6.2024 will fix at least two dates in a month
for the purposes of the present case so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. No unnecessary adjournment be granted to any of the parties.
In case, any of the witness is not present, the inspector in charge of Daspur P.S. would be informed to submit a report regarding the availability of the witnesses concerned.
Ld. Public Prosecutor, conducting the case would produce the materials, exhibits and the documents on the date so fixed for examination of the witnesses concerned. All stakeholders would cooperate with the ld. Trial court to conclude the trial at the earliest.
With the aforesaid observations, CRR 894 of 2024 is disposed of.
Pending application, if any, is also disposed of. Report so submitted be kept with the record.
