Mr. Shamit Sanyal Ms. Priyakshi Banerjee ..for the petitioner Ms. Sonal Sinha Mr. Avishek Prasad ..for the State Affidavit of service filed by the petitioner is taken on record.
By this writ petition, the petitioner seeks for communication of the result of his application for engagement as MR Distributorship.
The brief fact of the case is that the petitioner made an application for engagement as MR Distributor pursuant to the notification bearing memo no.2057/FMR/131-36/14(Pt-6) dated 1st June, 2023. However, the petitioner has not been informed of the fate of his application. Hence, this writ petition. Mr. Shamit Sanyal, learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the result of the application of the petitioner for engagement of MR distributorship since not informed should be communicated to him. He seeks for appropriate order.
Ms. Sonal Sinha, learned advocate for the State respondents leaves the matter to the discretion of the Court.
Admittedly, the petitioner is an applicant in respect of the vacancy notification for the MR Distributorship at Bagnan-I under Uluberia Block, Howrah in respect of notification bearing memo no.2057/FMR/131-36/14(Pt6) dated 1st June, 2023. However, he has not been informed of the fate of his application. In the aforesaid backdrop, the Sub-Divisional Controller, Food & Supplies, Howrah, being the respondent no.5, is directed to communicate the result of the application of the petitioner for engagement of MR Distributorship within a period of two weeks from the date of communication of this order.
Learned advocate-on-record for the petitioner is directed to serve a copy of this order upon the SubDivisional Controller, Food & Supplies, Howrah, being the respondent no.5.
With the above directions, this writ petition being WPA 5825 of 2024 stands disposed of along with all connected applications, if any.
There will be, however, no order as to costs. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
All concerned parties shall act in terms of the copy of the order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
Urgent photostat copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of necessary legal formalities.
