The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher at Hansadanga Primary School, a school under Sadar - I circle of Nadia District Primary School Council ("council" in short).

The petitioner, due to her illness, is praying for voluntary retirement. A representation of the petitioner to the said effect is pending consideration before the Chairman of the council, the respondent no. 5 herein. The said respondent is directed to consider the same and to dispose it of in accordance with law after giving the petitioner and the school authority an opportunity of hearing, expeditiously, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order. W.P.A. 5489 of 2025 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.
