The grievance of the petitioners is that the payment in respect of the work, done by them, has not been released by the respondent authorities.

It appears from the documents annexed to the writ petition that the Block Development Officer, Santuri Development Block by a communicating Memo dated 4th January, 2021 requested the District Magistrate, Planning Section, Purulia to look into the matter so that the payment can be made at the earliest. There is no reply to the same.

As it appears that the Block Development Officer has already approached the District Magistrate for necessary directions in the matter, accordingly, the writ petition is accordingly disposed of by directing the respondent no. 3 being the District Magistrate, Purulia to take necessary steps in terms of the request made by the Block Development Officer on 4th January, 2021 at the earliest, but positively within a period of twelve

weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

The aforesaid respondent shall intimate the decision taken by him to the petitioners immediately thereafter.

The petitioner is directed to forward a copy of the communicating memo dated 4th January, 2021 to the District Magistrate, Purulia at the time of communicating the order of the Court.

WPA 6335 of 2021 stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on completion of usual formalities.
