Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was falsely implicated due to political rivalry.

Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that the statement of the victim recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code stands corroborated by her medical report. He submits that the petitioner is absconding.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein and considering the fact that the statement of the victim relating to her violation stands corroboration by the medical report on the prima facie level and considering the fact that petitioner is absconding, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

CRM(A) 1416 of 2022 is dismissed.
