It has been submitted that the Pension Payment Order has already been issued on 23rd March, 2022 and the amount on account of gratuity has been debited in the bank account of the petitioner. Costs of Rs.10,000/- has also been deposited in the bank account of the petitioner. As it appears that the Pension Payment Order has already been issued in favour of the petitioner after considerable delay, accordingly, petitioner shall be entitled to receive retiral dues along with interest assessed @ 7% per annum from the due date till the date of actual payment. The concerned Treasury Officer shall take all necessary steps to disburse the amount on account of

interest in favour of the petitioner, at the earliest, but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Instruction given by the District Inspector of Schools (Primary Education), Kolkata be retained with the records.

Personal appearance of the District Inspector of Schools (Primary Education), Kolkata is dispensed with. Urgent certified photo copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
