Saidullah Ms. Arunima Mukhopadhyay Mr. Debopam Roy ....For the petitioner Mr. Arijit Ganguly Mr. Sanjib Kumar Dan .....For the State This is application for quashing of the charge sheet no. 386 of dated August 25, 2014, under Sections 341/323/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. It appears that a complaint was lodged on August 7, 2014, before the relevant police station against 28 accused persons. The investigation was carried out following which the chargesheet was filed against 25 persons including the petitioner.

It has been submitted by Mr. Imtiaz Ahmed, learned advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner that prosecution has been lodged because of political rivalry. It has further been submitted by Mr. Ahmed that prosecution case has not been corroborated by the medical report.

I am not inclined to interfere with the proceedings at this stage on the grounds as advanced on behalf of the petitioner. The petitioner can take the points before the trial Court at the appropriate stage.

It has been submitted that after filing of charge-sheet, there has been no progress in the trial.

In that view of the matter, I direct the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate in the court below to expedite the proceedings. The revisional application being CRR 627 of 2021 is disposed of.
