Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 66 days. The police seized all the relevant documents and further detention of the petitioner is not required. The petitioner is engaged in the business as a promoter of buildings. The building in under construction since 2015. It is at a belated stage when the allegations were made. Learned Advocate appearing for the State submits that the petitioner is guilty of forging a signature of a dead person in respect of the immovable property. The State is awaiting the report from the Questioned Document Examination Board.

The de facto complainant is represented.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein as transpiring from the materials in the case diary and considering the fact that the police are still investigating into the offences, we are unable to enlarge the petitioner on bail at this stage.

CRM (DB) 838 of 2022 is rejected.
