Re : CRAN 1 of 2020 Mr. Chatterjee, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the certified copy of the order dated 5th March, 2020 passed in CRM 2476 of 2020 was obtained on 11th March, 2020 and as subsequent thereto, the pandemic period intervened, the petitioner was not able to comply with the direction as contained in the order dated 5th March, 2020, which runs as follows:

" Petitioner shall appear before the court below and hand over his passport, if any, within four weeks from date. In the event he does not have passport, he shall personally appear before the court below and furnish an affidavit

to that effect within the time frame mentioned hereinabove".

Upon hearing the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties and upon considering the materials on record, we are satisfied with the explanation given towards the failure of the petitioner to comply with the direction as quoted above.

Accordingly, the time to comply with the said direction is extended for a period of two weeks from date. The application being CRAN 1 of 2020 is disposed of. All parties shall act on the server copies of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
