The petitioner is a teacher of a Madrasah. He seeks higher scale of pay.

After service of a copy of the writ petition in the office of the respondent authorities, a communication has been forwarded to the petitioner wherefrom it appears that the Additional Director of School Education by a communicating memo dated April 6, 2022 requested the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), Hooghly to look into the matter and take necessary action in accordance with law.

As it appears that the prayer of the petitioner for grant of higher scale of pay has already been taken up for consideration by the concerned authority,

accordingly, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), Hooghly to take necessary steps in the matter strictly in accordance with law, at the earliest, but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

The said respondent shall pass a reasoned order and communicate the same to the petitioner immediately thereafter.

The petitioner is directed to forward all the documents in support of his claim for higher scale of pay to the aforesaid respondent at the time of communicating the order of this Court.

Copy of the memo dated April 6, 2022 issued by the Additional Director of School Education, West Bengal to the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), Hooghly be retained with the records.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties after completion of all legal formalities.
