1. Injured suffered grievous hurt on the scalp. There is an incised wound over the scalp of the victim. Victim named the petitioner before us as the person who assaulted him causing such grievous hurt.

2. Police is investigating the case inter alia of attempt to murder.

3. Enlarging the petitioner on anticipatory bail considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner in the incident does not seem appropriate.

4. In such circumstances, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. This application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected. (Debangsu Basak, J.) (Smita Das De, J.)
