Petitioner is in custody for 120 days. Investigation is complete. He prays for bail.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the bail prayer. We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner had gone to the residence of his father-in-law for negotiations. In course of negotiations, he struck his wife with a knife in the abdomen.

In view of the gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
