Case No. 75/2018 under Sections 21(c)/29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 pending before the learned Judge, Special Court, Berhampore, Murshidabad. It has been submitted by the learned advocate for the petitioner that out of nine witnesses, only three witnesses have been examined so far and thereafter, there has been no further progress in the case.

Mrs. Sukanya Bhattacharya, learned advocate, who usually appears on behalf of the State, is requested to appear on behalf of the State in this case. Let her appointment be regularised by the learned Public Prosecutor.

Having regard to the innocuous nature of the application, I dispose of this revisional application, directing the learned Sessions Judge below to make endeavour to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of one year from date without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.

The revisional application being CRR 631 of 2021 is disposed of.
