Affidavit of service filed by the petitioner be kept with the record.

The grievance of the petitioner is directed against the failure of the respondent authorities to install a fresh electric connection at the premises of the petitioner. The Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents no. 1 and 2 submits that the personnel of the respondent Corporation had visited the premises of the petitioner to provide him a fresh electricity connection but they were resisted by the private respondents.

None appears on behalf of the private respondents despite service.

In view of the fact that this is an essential service which the petitioner seeks and subject to complying with all statutory formalities the respondent nos. 1 and 2 are directed to provide a fresh electricity connection at the premises of the petitioner.

In carrying out the aforesaid exercise the Inspectorin-Charge, Garfa Police Station is directed to give all necessary police assistance to the representatives of the CESC Limited.

It is made clear that all costs and expenses for such installation including police assistance would be borne by the petitioner exclusively.

It is made clear that the petitioner will comply with all statutory formalities as mandated by law. With the aforesaid directions WPA No. 6413 of 2021 is disposed of.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. (Ravi Krishan Kapur,J)
