Banerjee) Mr. Bidhan Biswas ...for the petitioner This application under Article 227 of the Constitution of India is at the instance of the plaintiff/petitioner praying for expeditious disposal of an application under Section 7(2) of the West Bengal Premises Tenancy Act, 1997 filed in connection with Title Suit No. 1049 of 2015.

Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that written objection to the application under Section 7(2) of the 1997 Act has already been filed and the application is otherwise ready for hearing.

In view of the order sought and proposed to be passed, there is no necessity to direct issuance of any notice upon the opposite parties. However, the petitioner shall be obliged to forward a copy of the application, along with a copy of this order, upon the opposite party or the learned advocate representing him before the learned trial Judge.

Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that April 22, 2025 has been fixed for hearing of the application under Section 7(2) of the West Bengal Premises Tenancy Act, 1997.

In the light of the submission made by the learned advocate for the petitioner, CO 876 of 2025 is disposed of by requesting the learned Civil Judge (Jr. Division), 1st Court at Barasat to take up the hearing of the application under Section 7(2) of the 1997 Act filed in Title Suit No. 1049 of 2015 on the next date fixed and to dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
