The present revisional application has been preferred for expeditious disposal of Misc. Case No.375 of 2016 which is a proceeding under the provisions of PWDV Act, 2005. Having regard to the purpose for which the legislature intended to incorporate such provisions, I direct the learned Judicial Magistrate of Serampore, Hooghly to expedite the progress of the case, since the case is pending for a period of about eight years.

Learned Magistrate to that extent would be at liberty to fix a schedule and fix at least one date in every two months so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. No unnecessary adjournment shall be granted to either of the parties.

With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 865 of 2023 is disposed of.

Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.
