The petitioner claims that he was engaged as conductor with the CSTC sometime in the year 1991. In the year 2014 he was asked to function as cashier until the year 2018. There were certain allegations of misconduct and unauthorised absence against the petitioner.

Charge sheet has been issued against the petitioner and it is submitted by the Corporation that the departmental enquiry against the petitioner is pending.

In view of the aforesaid, let the departmental enquiry against the petitioner be concluded within a period of five months from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

The enquiry shall be conducted in terms of the applicable Rules and as prescribed therefor.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

In view of disposal of the writ petition, connected application, if any, is also disposed of.

No order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all formalities.
