The application for bail under Section 439 of Cr.P.C. has been filed by the petitioner principally on the ground that the petitioner is in custody for one year three months.

Learned counsel for the State submits that the charge-sheet has been filed and the trial shall commence soon. Considering the gravity of the offence and the entire case diary and the evidence on record, this Court is not inclined to entertain the prayer for bail of the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail stands rejected. The parties shall act in terms of the copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this court.
