The report filed by the Inspector-in-charge of Gangajalghati Police Station, Bankura dated 31st March, 2024 stated that the appellant no.1, namely, Narahari Mondal had expired on 24th April, 2019 supported by a xerox copy of the death certificate be kept on record.

The instant criminal appeal gets abated against the appellant no.1. The appellant nos.2 and 3 are present in court. Their personal appearance is noted and not dispensed with. Mr. Soumik Ganguli, learned advocate appearing for the appellants submits that he has filed the Vakalatnama in the department today.

The department is directed to serve copies of the paper book upon the learned advocate for the appellants as well as the State prior to the next date of hearing.

Next date be fixed on 17th July, 2024.
