This writ petition has been filed alleging inaction on the part of the Howrah Municipal Corporation in addressing a complaint concerning an alleged unauthorised construction at premises no. 30, Sunderpara Road, 1st Bye Lane, within the jurisdiction of the Howrah Municipal Corporation.

It has been submitted by the learned advocate representing the Howrah Municipal Corporation that a self-demolition order has already been issued by the Corporation.

Respondents Nos. 5 to 7, who are the subjects of the petitioner's allegations regarding unauthorized construction, assert that the demolition order was issued

without any prior inspection. They further contend that they possess a sanctioned plan and have not yet completed the construction in accordance with the approved plan.

In light of the above submissions, this writ petition is disposed of, with the liberty granted to respondents Nos. 5 to 7 to challenge the demolition order issued by the Howrah Municipal Corporation, in accordance with law. Accordingly, WPA 5945 of 2024 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
