Mr. Sarbananda Sanyal Mr. Soumya Basu Roy Chowdhury ... for the Petitioners Mr. Anwar Hossain Ms. Amita Gaur ... for the State This is an application seeking an expeditious disposal of a proceeding in which a charge sheet was submitted under Sections 186,353,332,325,326, 307 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 25, 27 and 35 of the Arms Act. Let a copy of the revisional application be served upon Mr. Anwar Hossain and Ms. Amita Gaur, learned counsels, who ordinarily appear on behalf of the State. They are requested to appear in this matter. Their engagement may be regularised by the competent authority of the State in due course.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits as follows. The petitioners are the accused in this case. The F.I.R. was lodged on 27.11.2018. A charge sheet was submitted in December, 2018. Yet, till date even charges could not be framed. After some time, the petitioners granted bail. In 2019 the matter was committed to the Sessions. The matter has remained pending for no fault on the part of the petitioners. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that it cannot be said that an inordinate delay has been occasioned in this case. Moreover, the petitioners are on bail.

I have heard the submissions of the learned counsels for the appearing for the petitioner and the State and have perused the revision petition.

Although the petitioners are on bail, it appears that the matter has been pending at the stage of consideration of charges for quite a long time.

In view of the above and in the interest of justice, the learned Trial Court is requested to conclude the proceeding as expeditiously as possible and in particular, to decide the question of faming of charges at the earliest without granting any unnecessary adjournment to any of the parties, With these observations, the revisional application is disposed of.
