Mahasena Chowdhury And ANR v. State Of West Bengal And ANR
18.12.2023 Item No.18 gd/ssd CRR/980/2022 MAHASENA CHOWDHURY AND ANR.
VS STATE OF WEST BENGAL AND ANR.
Ms. Paulomi Dutta ..for the Petitioners.
Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners did not contact her and as such, she has no instructions to proceed with the case. Records of the case reflect that the proceeding under challenge is of Tapan Police Station Case No.229 of 2020 under Sections 498A/302/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 4/6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
Having regard to the nature and gravity of the offence, I am of the view that further pendency of the revisional application before this court is unwarranted in view of the submission so advanced.
Petitioners would be at liberty to canvass the points advanced in the revisional application at the appropriate stage of trial.
Accordingly, CRR 980 of 2022 is dismissed.
All the parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this court.
