The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition seeking disbursement of financial benefits for a period of nine months with effect from June, 2022 in favour of the petitioner against rendering her service as Honorarium Health Workers (HHW) under the respondent-Municipality.

It is the case of the petitioner that she had jointed as Honorary Health Worker at the sub centre Jasidebiand on 11.01.2019. The grievance of the petitioner is that even after working for more than three years of her appointment she has not been paid the honorarium for 9 months from June, 2022. Being aggrieved by the non grant of honorarium, the petitioner had submitted a representation dated 23.11.2022, however, till date no response has been received.

Learned Counsel for the respondent-Uttarpara Kotrung Municipality states that they are ready and willing to disburse the honorarium which is the admissible dues of the petitioner within a period of six weeks.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner shall be satisfied if the same is made within the stipulated period.

In view of the submissions made by the learned Counsel for the parties, this Court binds respondent no. 8 to abide by the statement made before this Court on instruction and to ensure that the honorarium of the petitioners will be paid within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

In view of the above directions, the present writ petition is dispose of.
