Victim is a minor and recorded her statement under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure where she ascribed specific role to the petitioner before us in assisting the principal accused in kidnapping her and taking her to Punjab where she was sexually assaulted.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

C.R.M. (A) 779 of 2024 is dismissed.
