The petitioner claims compassionate employment on account of death of her husband, Tapas Kumar Banerjee, who was serving as a driver in the West Bengal Police Department.

Since the matter falls within the jurisdiction of the State Administrative Tribunal, the writ petition is dismissed with liberty reserved to the petitioner to approach the State Administrative Tribunal on the self same cause of action.
