The grievance of the petitioner is that even though payment has been made on completion of the work in terms of the work order issued by the Murshidabad Municipality, the security deposit has not been released.

Representation filed by the petitioner before the Murshidabad Municipality is pending consideration. Without entering into the merit of the claim of the petitioner, as it appears that a representation seeking release of security deposit is pending consideration at the end of the Municipality, accordingly, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Municipality to take steps for consideration of the representation of

the petitioner at the earliest but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

If any amount is found due and payable, pay the same immediately thereafter. If the security deposit cannot be released, the reason for not releasing the same be communicated to the petitioner.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
