Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the WBSEDCL has since accepted the deposit sought to be made physically by the petitioners for getting a new electricity connection.

A copy of the receipt thereof is handed over in court today and be kept on record.

Hence, in the event the petitioners comply with all due formalities in law, there cannot be any further impediment for the WBSEDCL to give such new connection to the petitioners.

Accordingly, WPA 5801 of 2023 is disposed of by directing the WBSEDCL to give a new electricity connection to the petitioners within a week from date or from the compliance of formalities, whichever is later. There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
